Beulah Jones

September 10, 1919 — September 5, 2016

"Who Can Find A Virtuous Woman?" Proverb 31:10 On September 10, 1919 in Hughes, Arkansas, Beulah Mae Jones, a beautiful, angelic, bouncing baby girl was born to Mark "Green" and Ora Lee Mc Conico. The family then moved to West Memphis, Arkansas, where she and her siblings attended the West Memphis Public School District. Shortly after graduating from high school, Beulah moved to Kansas City, Kansas. "The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her" Proverb 31:11 It was there that she met and married the love of her life Mr. Beverly F. Jones, Sr. To this union, four children were born. "She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life…" The family would share many happy and memorable moments together. In 1943, they decided to move to Denver, Colorado where they raised their four children and ultimately members from both sides of their families made their way to Denver as well. "Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her." "…worketh willingly with her hands" Although Beulah loved being a home maker and raising her children, she took a job at the Brown Palace Hotel as a powder room maid. Even though she left for a while, she returned as a seamstress and faithfully worked until the age of 75 having given 50 years of service. "…a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised." Beulah confessed Jesus Christ early on in life and united with the St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church by Christian experience and remained a member until her call home for her heavenly reward. Beulah shared many memories with her lifelong friends, Johnnie, Woodard, and Reda Cooper. Beulah was preceded in death by her husband, one son, her parents, four siblings, precious granddaughter "Wou", and 5 stepchildren. Beulah Mae Jones departed this life into the embrace of the Lord on September 5, 2016, in Denver, Colorado. Proverbs 31:31 "Give her of the fruit of her hands and let her own works praise her in the gates." She leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her life, her children… Christine (Pastor George T. Curry, Sr.) – 3 children, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. Berkley - 3 children, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. Brenda (Lonnie) - 2 children, 5 grandchildren.
