Betty Webster

January 22, 1950 — November 15, 2018

Betty Marie Cole Webster, also known as, "Queen Bee Betty," was born on January 22, 1950, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to her parents, Arthur Cole and Eola Williams. Betty was the fourth child born to this union. Betty attended Johnson C. Lockett Elementary School and transitioned to George Washington Carver Junior and Senior High School. Betty continued her education at McDonogh No. 16 School in New Orleans. Shortly after receiving her needed education at McDonogh, Betty went into the field of education.

Betty was a proud and loving mother of four children, Nicolette, Darryl, Derrick, and Caira. She loved, nurtured, and provided for her children to give them a solid foundation. The family shared many special moments together that they will never forget. Betty was later blessed with 12 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren, who were an added joy to Betty. She loved them all dearly.

By profession, Betty began teaching Pre-School and Kindergarten at the Annette Head Start Center. This was the foundation leading Betty into caring for a person's most prized gifts: THEIR CHILDREN. Betty later moved to Donaldsonville, Louisiana, where she became her father, Arthur Cole, caregiver. Once she was better, she realized her gift of being a great caregiver. She did not only care for her father but now she was ready to care for anyone. Betty was introduced into the Nanny Field by her aunt, Stella Banks. Stella took Betty to her next step in her journey. Betty stayed in this field until she decided to relocate to Denver, Colorado in 2011.

Betty moved to Denver to be close to her family. She wanted to spend time with her children and family. Queen Bee adopted her niece, who was full of life, love, and joy. She was determined to keep her in the family and to share her love.

Betty was such an amazing woman, all who knew this wonderful woman, loved her.

Betty is preceded in death and joins her parents, Arthur Cole and Eola Williams; and three siblings, brother, Michael; and sisters, Earline, and Eola "Cynthia."

Betty Marie Cole Webster departed this life on November 15, 2018, in Denver, Colorado. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Nicolette Webster-East (Lyle East), Darryl Webster, Derrick Webster (Tracy), Caira Webster; her siblings, Carrie, Arthur, Jimmie, Anthony, Joseph, Albertha, Jacquelyn, Danny; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

"As she takes her place among the heavens, she will truly be missed. A loving mother, sister, cousin, aunty, and grandmother keep smiling down on us Betty until we meet again."
