Betty G. Harris was born on March 30, 1954 in Jackson, TN to her parents Andrew H. Theus and Pearlean Theus. Betty attended high school at J.W. Riley in South Bend, IN. Betty met and married her husband Eric W. Harris and from that union they had four children, Tanya, Eric, Jr., Erica and Branden. Betty and Eric traveled extensively as Eric had signed up to join the US Army. Later, Eric was honorably discharged from the Army and they moved to Denver, Colorado in 1979. Betty was a very kind woman who touched the lives of many with her words and beautiful smile. Betty's foundation was very steady and built strong on her faith in the Lord. She always enjoyed being with family. She loved cooking and had a great love for sweets. Betty enjoyed good laughter. These were just a few of the things that were very important to Betty. Betty's passions included spending time with her grandchildren, gardening as she had a fond love for her plants and reading the Bible. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Eric W. Harris. Betty G. Harris departed this life on October 19, 2014. She leaves to cherish her memory and to mourn her loss her four children, Tanya Porter, Eric W Harris, Jr., Erica Harris, Branden (Angeleke) Harris; her parents, Andrew and Pearlean Theus; 3 siblings, Andy (Pearl) Theus, Luvern Nettles, Tony (Stephanie) Theus; 9 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter; a host of other family and friends.
