Benita Bolden-Palmer

July 10, 1964 — February 1, 2018

Benita Zoltamia Bolden was born to Berma J Smith and Jimmie Bolden on July 10, 1964 at Good Samaritan Hosp in Charlotte, NC. Tammy attended Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools until her junior year in high school. At that time, she moved to Denver CO with her family and completed her education at East High School in Denver CO. In Charlotte she was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. She joined Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church not long after moving to Denver. She worked with the Youth Dept. Tammy was a faithful member of Christ the King Baptist Church. She served as Sunday School teacher for the children, advisor for the Youth Dept and as an Usher. Tammy worked a variety of jobs prior to being hired by the United States Postal Office. She went from the Post Office to IRS. She worked for the US Government for a total of 20 years. Tammy touched a lot of lives. She sent encouragement messages to let people know that she was thinking about them and that she loved them. She sent messages out the morning of the day God called her home. She will be missed by many. Tammy was a faithful worker, a loving mother and she loved to smile. She loved going to shows and to the movies. She was often the only person always smiling in pictures. Her children and friends will miss her high pitched laugh. We are sure you can hear it now. She wasn’t a very emotional person, but we are sure she would have loved to see everyone here to support her family. Those left to cherish her memory are her mother and stepfather, Alan and Berma Hicks, six children Elliot (Sequoia) Armstrong, Jessica Bolden, Jason Bolden, Breanna Palmer, Natasha Palmer and Jayden Palmer, Aurora CO; her sister Stephanie (Andrae) Moree, Ladsen SC; her grandmother Linton Stevenson, Aurora CO; her uncle Clifford Smith, N Charleston SC; aunt Pamela (James) Brownsmith, Atlanta GA; cousins Tony Grier, Charlotte NC; James Brownsmith III, Atlanta GA; Reid Brownsmith, Atlanta GA; niece Morgan Taylor, N Charleston SC; Three grandchildren, Brandon J Johnson, Elias Armstrong, Genevieve Armstrong, and a host of friends.
