Baby Rico Hill

Baby Rico Hill was born on October 8, 2022 at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado. He was born to his parents, Shavande Green and Ramsey Hill. Rico spent his entire fifty two days of life in the NICU and was not expected to be born until January 12, 2023. Rico has three siblings, Raziq Hill, Zahriya Hill and Riélle Hill.

His mother and father were blessed beyond measure with the news that they were welcoming a baby boy into their hearts and their home. Rico (meaning the brave ruler) was the name given to him. His parents could hardly wait until the time came that he would be able to come home from the NICU. Rico’s big brother Raziq couldn’t contain his happiness as he would no longer be the only boy. He couldn’t wait to show his little brother the ropes and teach him how to ride and race motocross. Rico’s two older sisters - Zahriya and Riélle, couldn’t wait for him to come home so that they could love on him and spoil him in a way that only big sisters are capable of!

The love that he brought his family was un-explainable and brought them so much happiness. He was such a strong baby who fought everyday for his life until the end.

We are deeply saddened by his passing but vow to honor his name and legacy forever! Baby Rico lives on through all of us. No matter how near or far, he is with us and has brought this family closer together than ever before.

He is preceded in death by, Grandma, Laura Lou Stevenson; grandpa, Ricky Hill and uncle, Travon McGaha.

Those left to cherish his memory include, his mother, Shavande Green; father, Ramsey Hill; sisters, Zahriya Hill and Rielle Hill; brother, Raziq Hill; grandmother, Dionne Green-York; grandfather, Chris Green; great grandparents; god-mother, Ebony Flores; uncles, Terrell York, Chris Green, jr., Daniel Jackson; aunts, Nakeima Hendrix, Rickina Hill, Breonna Green, Raven Whitney; and a host of other loving family members.
