Anthony R. Miles-Hollis was born July 2, 1989, in Denver, Colorado to Sophia Hollis and Howard R. Miles, Jr. Anthony was Howard ‘s only child. Howard was so proud of him. Anthony also brought great joy to his mother, siblings, and other family members. Growing up, he was a wonderful and joyful child to be around. As a youth, Anthony played for the Falcons Pee Wee Football team; this is where he first gained the love of football. Anthony attended Gateway High School where he completed his education and graduated, receiving his High School Diploma. With his athletic abilities, he was able to secure a position and played football for the Gateway High School team. His favorite football team to watch was the Philadelphia Eagles. He loved wearing green and white to represent the Eagles team. Anthony collected various jerseys from all types of sport teams around the world and loved his Jordan’s. He was known as a sneaker head. Anthony loved his family and cared about others. He also had a personal relationship with the Lord. He attended Heritage Christian Center in Aurora, Colorado. Anthony began working for the Target stores where he was employed for 5 years. Then he took a position at Sysco Distribution Center where he was employed for 4 years. Anthony was a hard-working young man who was loved by many of his co-workers and will be remembered as the one who would give you the shirt off his back. Anthony was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Howard R. Miles, Sr. and Joyce Ann Hollis. Anthony tragically had his life taken from him at his place of employment, Sysco Distribution Center on Thursday April 5, 2018, devastating his family and friends. He leaves behind to mourn his passing his mother, Sophia Hollis; his father, Howard R. Miles, Jr.; siblings, big sister, Latasia Hollis; big brother, Deshawn (Natasha Taylor-Hollis) Hollis, and baby sister, Ashia Fuller; his niece, Dashanee Jones Hollis; nephew, Jasiah Proctor Hollis; fraternal grandmother, Nadine Johnson; great grandfather, Stanley Stevenson; aunts, Lashanda Hollis, Nikia Ausbie and Sherrie Miles; one uncle, Royal Hollis; great aunts, Carol Martin and Deloris Smith; great uncles, Ricky Stevenson and Ray Stevenson; .a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. . Anthony will be missed but not forgotten in our hearts. We all thank our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the love and legacy Anthony left us. “Anthony, you are now able to soar like an Eagle!”
