Anthony Trevor Charles, affectionately called "Tony" by family and friends was born on December 30, 1961, in Trinidad West Indies. to his parents, Kingsley L. Alexander and Betty Charles. He relocated to the United States in November 1979, to live with his mother and younger brother. He received his early education by graduating from high school. On January 16, 1980, Tony enlisted in the United States Army. While serving his country, he received numerous awards, citations and ribbons for meritorious service. He was stationed in many post both foreign and domestic. He served with honor and distinction and was honorably discharged at the rank of SSG (E-6). He was very proud of his service to his country and found great pleasure in letting others know "I am ex-military." After his military tour was over, Tony enrolled in Regis University in Denver, Colorado. In 1992, he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. With the skills learned in Army and the academic knowledge he gained, he had an extremely fruitful career as a Hospital Billing Manager with Denver Health Systems. Tony was a fun loving man who enjoyed life and those he encircled. He was a man who carried a jovial personality and was committed to helping others. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful man. To know Tony was to love him. He is preceded in death by both his parents, Betty Charles and Kingsley Alexander. Anthony Trevor Charles departed this life on April 26, 2015, in Aurora, Colorado. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving step mother, Lavern C. Alexander, Valley Stream, New York; 4 brothers, Dean Alexander, Waterloo Ontario, Canada, John (JoAnne) Alexander, Port of Spain Trinidad, West Indies, Julius Alexander, Trumbull, Connecticut, and Garvin (Gizelle) Alexander, Valley Stream, New York; 3 sisters, Alicia (Bruce) Davey, Bell River Windsor Ontario Canada, Ann Alexander, Toronto, Canada and Juliet Alexander, Valley Stream, New York and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and many friends.
