A beautiful angel, Mrs. Anne Lee Dailey was born on January 26, 1927, in Henderson, Texas, to her parents, Cleveland and Allie Strong. She was the first child born in the family. She was raised surrounded by her six siblings, one brother, Cleveland, and five sisters, Onella, Faye, Mercie, and Barbara. As a child, Anne adorned the fine dresses and lovely accessories her mother would dress up in, which extended into her adulthood and gave her a passion for the finer thing in life.
Anne attended the Henderson School District in Henderson, Texas, attending Glade Springs Junior High and eventually graduating from Phillip Wheatley High School. Anne continued her education by attending Texas Southern University, where she received her Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) diploma. She excelled in nursing because of her desire to assist and care for others.
In 1946, she met the love of her life; Tewarner Dailey, Sr. Tewarner and Anne were inseparable, they later married and to their beautiful union, two children were born; a daughter Gwendolyn, and a son Tewarner, Jr. As the family grew, they found a need for a place that would accommodate them. In 1957, the Dailey family found themselves relocating to the beautiful Rocky Mountain, Mile High City, Denver, Colorado.
A woman of faith and belief in the Lord, Anne became a member of the New Hope Baptist Church, where she enjoyed attending their vibrant, soul steering services on Sunday mornings. She was committed and stayed close to God throughout her life.
Anne was a fun-loving woman, who enjoyed life and those she encircled. She was a caring and nurturing mother figure to not only her family but to the entire neighborhood. There was not one home on the entire block, who did not know who, Mrs. Dailey was. She was always draped with fine clothing, fancy hats, and parked in the driveway, nothing less than her elegant Cadillac's. Exquisite taste to say the least.
Anne never missed a beat and always enjoyed life even at the age of 91, Anne still took care of herself, cooking, driving her Cadillac, and never missing her twice-monthly hair appointments.
