Amber Mosley

May 6, 1999 — October 21, 2016

Amber Mae Mosley was born in Aurora, Colorado on May 6, 1999, to parents, Larry and Gladys Mosley. Amber was the oldest child born to this union. She had one brother, Larry William Mosley, Jr. At the early age of seven years old, Amber was selected as the top student of all the third graders at Oakland Elementary School and received the Mile High Scholarship awarded by Mayor John Hickenlooper. As an elementary school student, she learned to play the keyboard and later performed at a winter school concert. Throughout Amber's elementary school years, she consistently excelled academically into her middle school years. Amber was very active and athletic participating in sports activities such as volley ball and basketball in addition to being on the step team. Amber continuated as the valedictorian which is the highest honor a middle school student can achieve. Amber was an academic scholar who had straight A grades throughout high school. Amber took concurrent courses in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. At George Washington High School, Amber was on the national honor roll society from her sophomore to senior years. As a sophomore she received another Mile High Scholarship awarded by Mayor Michael Hancock. Amber had excellent leadership and writing skills that enabled her to oversee the yearbook project as editor and chief, which was a position that only seniors could occupy which speaks to Amber's extraordinary abilities. Amber transferred to Thomas Jefferson High School and was taking Advanced Placement classes along with becoming a Guidance Counselor and participated in Balaret Program. After high school, Amber had plans for higher education aspiring to become an Occupational Therapist. Amber enjoyed playing volleyball, painting and listening to all types of music. Her favorite colors were pink and green and her favorite food was macaroni and cheese, but would eat Chipotle any day of the week. She also loved Starbucks Caramel Frappuccinos. Amber liked hanging out with friends and loved shopping. Amber's favorite TV shows were "Pretty Little Liars" and "Greys Anatomy." She was a fan of the Denver Broncos. From a Mother's heart, Amber was My Bobbi, My Love, My Everything, Mommy is so proud of you. God blessed me with a daughter who is my precious angel, beautiful, intelligent, loving, caring and kind was she. It was a joy watching Amber blossom into a beautiful butterfly who spread her wings and soared high in the sky leaving wonderful memories in my heart forever. From a Father's eyes, Amber to me was a very special girl, from the time she was born until now, always laughing and making everyone around her feel good. She was a ray of light and I will always love her. She was my rock when I was weary, she kept me going. From a Brother's memory, William enjoyed and loved Amber as a big sister who helped him with math problems, often played the Wii game and the guitar hero game together. Amber was the Wii golf champion with a score of minus 3 in family tournaments. William looked up to his sister as a role model and wanted to follow in her footsteps. Amber was a good example of a big sister and she was patient, loving and kind, but also had brief moments of sibling rivalry from time to time, but the power of love kept their relationship unbreakable. We greatly love and miss her vibrant smile, her cute little growls, her drooling laughter and sweet personality. Amber leaves to mourn and cherish her memories are her parents, Larry and Gladys Mosley, her brothers Larry William Mosley, Jr., Derrick Davis, Darrnell Davis, sisters Danyle Coleman, Danisha Ausler, grandmothers Amber Haley, Theodora Rosales, and a host of aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Amber Mosley was called home to Glory the morning of October 21, 2016. We all loved her, but God loved her best.
