Alverna Johnson affectionately called "Too Sweet" by her family and friends, was born in Denver Colorado on March 4, 1960, to her parent, Susie Lee Wade and Alvin Johnson. She was raised with her seven siblings; Flo, Leroy, Diane, Faye, Alvin, Jr. Willie, Jr. Her sisters Shirley Ann, Alice and her brother David C, whom has joined in Heaven, on August 20, 2016, when the Lord called her home. Alverna attended Denver Public Schools where she graduated from East High School. She grew up in the prominent Five Points neighborhood where she met the father of her two eldest children Tywanda and Raymond Johnson. Later down the road she was blessed with three more children Fred Williams Jr., Essence and Ebony Johnson. They all remember their mother to be very loving, supportive, and caring. She always made sure that her babies were taken care of. She was blessed more abundantly with five grandchildren; Travonta, Tashiara, Tazjae, Pharoh, and Tamauryae, and two great grandchildren; Messiah and Trinity, who all have shared many happy and memorable moments together. In her free time, she enjoyed listening to music and loved to dance. She also enjoyed cooking which led to her career choice in the restaurant industry. More than anything she loved, loved, loved spending time with her family. She had a very close relationship with her sisters, and they knew how to party. She never let anyone feel left out. She always greeted her nieces with "Hello Beautiful or Hey Sexy", and her nephews with "What's up Handsome?" She always encouraged and told them how proud she was of them, telling each one they were her favorite. She will be remembered for her witty and sassy personality. She always jokes! Alverna Johnson departed this life on August 20, 2016, in Aurora, Colorado. She leaves to love and cherish her memory her beautiful children, Tywanda Johnson-Watts, Raymond Johnson, Fred Williams, Jr., Essence Johnson, and Ebony Johnson, all of Denver; her loving mother, Susie (Wade) Johnson; her sisters, Florine (James) Edwards of Hillister, Texas, Judith Diane (Kenneth) Pearson, Cathy Johnson, and Faye Johnson of Denver; her brothers, Leroy (Tammy) Howard, Alvin Johnson, Jr. and Willie Phillips, Jr. of Denver; her grandchildren, Travonta Mosley, Tashiara and Tazjae Dickerson, Pharoh Watts, and Tamauryae, Johnson of Denver; her two great grandchildren, Messiah Mosley and Trinity Hardy also of Denver; four generations of nieces and nephews; and a host of stepbrothers, stepsisters, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. If you had an opportunity to meet her you could not help but to fall in love with her Charismatic Personality or her Beautiful Smile and those Big Brown Eyes. You are truly loved and will be Truly Missed.
