Alton Edwards was born to the late Peter and Alice Edwards on September 28, 1930, in Franklin, Texas. He was the sixth child of ten children born to this union.
As a child, Alton received his education and attended church in Franklin, Texas. In his early adulthood, he relocated to Denver, Colorado. It was there that he met his wife, Dazzie. To this union he had three daughters, Joyce (deceased), Michelle and Jacquelyn; plus, one bonus daughter, LaTasha. He spent many years working at Thompson Pipe and Steel as a Foreman. Alton was a great artist. He did a lot of free sketching of cars and people. Alton had a special love for dogs. He was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors.
Alton departed this life on December 18, 2021. He was preceded in death by his mother Alice, father Peter, daughter Joyce, granddaughter Janasia, brothers Willie, Cleofus, Robert, Johnnie and Edward Tee and sister Mildred. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Dazzie, daughters Michelle, Jacquelyn and LaTasha, grandchild Stephanie, great grandchildren Neasia and Antoine, brother John Gilbert (Donna), sisters Mary and Patricia and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. And, a special thanks to his beloved caretaker, Ms. Dora (Poochie) Smith.
