Alice Jean Napier was born on March 20, 1954, in Levelland, Texas to her parents, R.T. Casey and Ada Mae Chambers Casey. She was raised surrounded by her brother, Mitchell. The family eventually relocated to Denver, Colorado, where she graduated from Manual High School in 1970. On February 3, 1977, Alice united in holy matrimony to Earl L. Napier in Aurora, Colorado. They first met in Denver, Colorado. Earl remembers her as being a dutiful wife whose pride and joy was the care and nurture of her husband and their home. There were no children born to this union but she found great joy in caring for her nieces and nephews. They all shared many happy and precious moments together. By profession, Alice was employed by the Lowry Finance Center in the Mail Room and the Veterans Administration Hospital in Medical Records. She was hardworking, dedicated and performed her duties with a spirit of excellence. A woman of faith and belief in the Lord, Alice was a faithful and dedicated member of the Greater Union Missionary Baptist Church. She served under the pastoral leadership of Reverend Dr. Gregory Johnson. She served her church and the Lord as member of the Usher Board. She truly enjoyed her ministry and greeted everyone with Christian love and understanding. She loved the fellowship with her church family and the wisdom and knowledge she was gaining as she studied the Bible in spirit and in truth. Alice was a fun-loving person who enjoyed life and those she encircled. In her free time, she enjoyed baking, working with puzzles, the computer and reading. Her closest friends, Janice Alexander, whom she attended social gatherings together and just had fun in each other's company, JoAnn and Fred Cervantos, who were her card partners. They all shared many happy and memorable moments together. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful woman. To know Alice was to love her. Alcie Jean Napier departed this life to the embrace of the Lord on January 11, 2016, in Denver, Colorado.
