Adria Elizabeth Wilkins was born on June 14, 1971, in Denver, Colorado to her parents, Patricia Lynn Wilkins and Terrence Leon Hayes, Sr. She was the sixth of six children born in the family. She was raised surrounded by her brothers, Robert, Anthony, Derrick, Terrence, Jr. and her sister, Tracy. Adria received her early education in Denver where she attended Margaret Smith Elementary School, Cole Jr. High School and Montbello High School. "Dria" as she was affectionately called by family and friends was the proud mother of three beautiful children, DeAndre', Erickson and Ebony. She was a loving and devoted mother whose pride and joy was the care and nurture of her family. They all shared many happy and precious moments together. DeAndre' preceded her in death in 2002. By profession, Dria was employed by First Cash and Advance as an Accounting Supervisor. She was hard- working, dedicated and performed her duties with a spirit of excellence. She was respected by her staff and admired by her supervisors. A woman of faith and belief in the Lord, Dria was baptized at Zion Baptist Church in Denver, Colorado under the pastoral leadership of the late Reverend Wendell T. Liggins. When she relocated to Texas, she joined the Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, Fort Worth, Texas under the pastoral leadership of Reverend Patrick Turner. She served her church and the Lord as a member of the Children's Choir, the Children's Ministry and the Praise Team. She served alongside Sister Ruby Gentry. She truly enjoyed the fellowship shared with her church family and she believed in the power of prayer and having the right relationship with the Lord. Adria was a fun loving woman, who enjoyed life and those she encircled. In her free time, she enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends. Her closest friends remember the camaraderie they shared together and the fact that she was a true and trusted friend. Adria Elizabeth Wilkins departed this life to the embrace of the Lord on April 7, 2015, in Mesquite, Texas. Those left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss include her son, Erickson D. (Sierra) Brown of Baton Rouge, LA; her daughter, Ebony F. Brown of Mesquite, TX; her mother, Patricia L. Wilkins of Grand Prairie, TX; her father, Terrence L. Hayes, Sr. of Leland, NC; 3 brothers, Derrick L. Jones of Houston, TX, Terrence L. Hayes, Jr. and Robert D. Hayes both of Denver; 1 sister, Tracy Hayes- Sanders of Colorado Springs, CO; her great grandmother, Lillian Hayes of Leland, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and many friends.
