In Him was life… Aaron Richard Wiley was born on May 24, 1936, in Denver, Colorado to his parents, Canvass Wiley and Margaret Oliver-Wiley. He was the only child born to this union. When Aaron was a very young child, his mother passed away. He was rescued by his maternal grandmother who nurtured and raised Aaron. As a youth, Aaron enjoyed the company of his cousins. Study to shew thyself approved unto God… Aaron attended and graduated from Manual High School in Denver. He was an excellent student that excelled in his education. Happy is the man who has his quiver full… Aaron was the proud father, and blessed with sons and daughters, Aaron, Jr., Michelle, Ricky, Stephanie, Lisa, and Rodney and stepchildren, Joel, Danielle, Saron, and Rene. After spending time together, they loved and cared for one another and were all changed for the better. What therefore God hath joined together… In the mid 1970's, Aaron met Sandra Williams in San Jose, California. The two dated for a while and went their separate ways. Years later, their circle would not be complete without their love being rekindled. After more than 20 years of being separated, Aaron began to call Sandra, and through a Prophet of God, Sandra was convinced that God brought them back together to love and care for one another. On December 25, 1998, they would seal their love in marriage. Denver, Colorado would never be the same. The couple shared many happy and memorable moments together. They had many ups and downs but their love and the promises of God would help them stand the tests. The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former… He was also blessed with many grandchildren, and great grandchildren, who were an added source of joy in his life. The love he had for his family expanded beyond reach, he loved every one of them very much. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature… Aaron was a man of faith who loved the Lord. He came to know Jesus in the parting of his sins in his mid-life's season. He loved the Lord with all of his heart, soul and might. While living in San Jose, CA, Aaron joined the St. John Baptist Church; upon relocating to Denver, Colorado, he became a faithful member of the Anchor of Hope Church family in 2000. Aaron served faithfully on a number of committees, until his health began to decline. Although quiet, Aaron had a zest for life. He enjoyed watching westerns on television, Star Wars, the Denver Broncos, and the Colorado Rockies. He also loved fine clothing and jewelry. Aaron was generous and caring, celebrating special days with gifts from his heart. When he could not shop because of his health, he would give his wife, Sandra, money and tell her to, "Buy yourself something special from me." Aaron was preceded in death by his parents, Canvass and Margaret Wiley; his grandmother; and his stepdaughter, Saron Johnson. That they may rest from their labours… Aaron Richard Wiley departed this life into the embrace of the Lord on July 1, 2016 in Denver, Colorado. His family will mourn the loss of their husband, and father. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Sandra Wiley; his children, Aaron R. Wiley, Jr., Michelle Wiley, Ricky Wiley, Stephanie Wiley, Lisa Wiley, and Rodney Wiley and stepchildren, Joel Johnson, Danielle Lopez, and Rene Lopez; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
