Aaron Buffard, Sr. was born on August 18, 1924, in Brookshire, Texas to his parents, Johnnie Buffard and Alonia Green Buffard. He was the second child born in the family. He was raised surrounded by brother, Cary and his sister, Frankie. He received his formal education in Texas where he completed high school. On January 30, 1943, Aaron enlisted in the United States Navy. He served during World War, ll. He served with honor and distinction and was honorably discharged. Aaron united in holy matrimony to the former Pauline Hase. They first met in San Angelo, Texas. To this union, four beautiful children, Aaron, Jr., Michael, Kevin and Mia were born. They remember their dad as driving trucks long distance. When he returned home, he would give them all the change saved while on the road. They also remember him loving "Budweiser" beer. They all shared many happy and precious moments together. Pauline preceded him in death in 2008. Aaron was later blessed with twenty four grandchildren; sixty three great grandchildren; and eighteen great-great grandchildren who all were an additional source of joy and pride in his life. They too have many happy and memorable moments of special time shared together. By profession, Aaron was a Truck Driver and Mechanic. He was employed by Mayflower Movers for a number of years. He was hard-working, dedicated and performed all duties assigned to him with precision and excellence. Aaron was a fun-loving man who enjoyed life and those he encircled. In his free time, he enjoyed sharing with family and friends on weekends. His closest friends include James Lewis, Jim Anderson and Al Potts who both preceded him in death. Aaron will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind, and gentle man who didn't mind lending a helping hand to others. To know Aaron was to love him. Aaron was preceded in death by 3 sons, Jimmy Vaughn, Jr., Sidney H. Vaughn, and Michael Buffard. Aaron Buffard, Sr. departed this life on March 24, 2015, in his home in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish his memory include 3 sons, Aaron Buffard, Jr., Kevin W. Buffard, and Dennis Hase; 3 daughters, Myrtlene (Darryl) Clark, Claudine Vaughn and Mia L. Buffard all of Denver; 24 grandchildren; 63 great grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and many friends.
