Robert Earl Pearson was born on June 6, 1957, in Shreveport, Louisiana to his mother, Rosalee Nash. He was raised surrounded by brothers, Van, Dewayne and his sister, Gloria. He received his formal education in Shreveport, where he graduated from high school. He is remembered enjoying basketball while in school. He also had a jovial personality and full of enthusiasm. On March 21, 1975, Robert enlisted in the United States Air Force. While serving his country, he earned an Air Force Achievement Medal, an Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, a National Defense Service Medal, an Overseas Long Term Tour Ribbon, a Longevity Service Award, an Air Force Training Ribbon, he also served during the Desert Shield/Storm Conflict. He served honor and distinction for 18 years and was honorably discharged at the rank of a Technical Sergeant (E6). Robert was the proud father of Nikke, Torrish, Shay, Robin and Martika. He missed the opportunity to have shared many happy and memorable moments with his family, but he loved then very much. Robert was a fun loving man who enjoyed life and those he encircled. His closest friend and confidante, Richard Lewis shared a special closeness. They have been friends for many years. As Roberts health began to decline, Richard was his Power of Attorney and ensured that Robert was cared for properly and did so without hesitation or instruction. The loving hands of Mrs. Gerry Lewis: wife of Mr. Lewis, spent many months of support and love for Robert as the burden of his care was, at times, too hard to bear alone. God's grace has been so present throughout the years. Maxine, Ethylene, Roberto, Frani, and Georgia were a source of additional strength through their love and support. Robert will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful man. To know Robert was to love him. Robert Earl Pearson departed this life on February 17, 2014, in Commerce City, Colorado. Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Torrish Pearson of Austin, Texas; three daughters, Robin Waters of Jacksonville, Florida, Martika R. Cassell of Austin, Texas and Darnella C. Cassell of Gilbert, Arizona; his devoted friend and his wife, Richard (Gerry) Lewis of Golden, Colorado and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and many friends
