Precious Memories
LaTasha Monique Daniels
As beautiful as a rose to see, was her life she lived so gracefully. She made things precious by her touch; her selfless love lives on in each of us. The petals of her life fell one by one; each a gift of her heart till there were none. Yet her radiance blooms once again in fields of glory with no end.
LaTasha Monique Daniels affectionately called “Tasha” by family and friends was born on January 7, 1986, in Denver, Colorado to her parents, Joe Carl Bunton and Cheryl Elaine Bunton. She was the fifth child born in the family. She was raised surrounded by her brother, Joe Jr.; and her sisters, Erica and Tiffany. As a child, she enjoyed cooking using recipes from the television cooking shows. She also enjoyed teaching. She was raised alongside her cousins, Sharava, Terry, Jeremy, and Gregory, who were more like siblings than cousins. They all shared many happy and memorable moments over the years.
Tasha received her early education in Denver, Colorado, where she was a 2004 graduate of East High School. While in school, she received a certificate from the DARE program and she earned an award from the Best Essay for Drug Awareness and Gang violence.
Tasha met and later married, Arthur Ray House. They first met while riding public transportation in 2001. He calls her his “Only love and my everything.” To this union, three beautiful children were born two sons, Issac, Ray, and a daughter, Rayla. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother who took great pride in the care and nurture of her family. She often served as a Volunteer Parent for all her children’s school activities. She loved all the happy and precious moments they all shared together.
By profession, Tasha was employed by both the State of Colorado and MCI as a Medical and Coding Technician and a Customer Service Representative. She was hard working, dedicated, and performed all her duties with a spirit of excellence.
A woman of faith and belief in the Lord, Tasha was a member of Faith Mission Church of God in Christ and Emmanuel Place of Refuge Ministries. She believed in the power of prayer and having the right relationship with Lord.
Tasha was a fun-loving lady, who enjoyed life and those she encircled. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking and watching cooking shows, listening to music, and spending quality time with family and friends. She maintained a close relationship with many of childhood friends. She also loved the walks to the store as a family, and going to skate city, hanging out at the recreation center, and going to church with her mother, whom she called “her church buddy.” She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful woman. To know LaTasha was to love her.
She is preceded in death by a sister, Shawnettta “Tae” Phillips; her grandparents, Dorothy and Frank Bunton, and Earline Bunton; her cousin/sister Tanisha Jenkins; her devoted aunt, Dorothy Young; along with other aunts and uncles.
LaTasha Monique Daniels departed this life to the embrace of the Lord on January 21, 2023, in Aurora, Colorado. Those left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss include her husband, Arthur R. House; her children, Issac R. House, Ray Arthur House, and Rayla M. House; her parents, Joe C. and Cheryl E. Bunton; her brother, Joe C. Bunton, Jr.; sisters, Erica T. (Rico) Garcia and Tiffany N.
