Jacqueline Marie Jefferson was born on April 7, 1947, in Wilmar, Arkansas to her parents, Calvin Jefferson, Sr. and Mae Lou Griffen. She was the first child born in the family. As a child, she loved playing basketball and reading. She also enjoyed sharing with her classmates and spending time with her boyfriend, Robert Hampton. Jacqueline was blessed with a beautiful baby girl that she named Enrica. She remembers her mother as loving, nurturing and always available when she was needed. They all shared many happy and precious moments together. She was later blessed with two children, she raised as her own, Gabriel and her niece, Nicole, who were an additional source of joy and pride in her life. They lovingly called her "Jackie" and fondly remember her as loving them unconditionally and uncompromising. By profession, Jacqueline was a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). She worked in many of the nursing homes in the area but was most satisfied working for private health care companies and working one on one with patients placed in her charge. She was hard-working, dedicated and performed her duties with a spirit of excellence. A woman of faith and belief in the Lord, Jacqueline was baptized at a very early age. She believed in the power of prayer and having a relationship with the Lord. Jacqueline was a fun loving woman who enjoyed life and those she encircled. In her free time, she enjoyed watching television, smoking cigarettes and spending quality time with her family. Her closest friends, Peggy Woodard, Miss Lou, and Miss Fisher will miss the camaraderie they shared together and the fact that she was a true and genuine friend. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this one of a kind woman. To know Jacqueline was to love her.
