Receiving her early education in Denver, Colorado where she graduated at the top of her class as Valedictorian from George Washington High School.   Later furthering her education at the Community College of Denver where she received her degree in Early Childhood Education.

While growing up on Elm Street she met Joseph Henry Sanders.  They later exchanged vows at Mt. Yvette was later blessed with two grandchildren, Jaidyn and Kemet, who both were an additional source of joy and pride in her life.  They lovingly called her “grandma or gaga” and fondly remember the trips to KFC or Popeye’s after church on Sunday.

By profession, Yvette was employed by Mountain Bell as an Executive Assistant while employed there she was appreciated for her hard work and kind spirit. Later, starting her journey of entrepreneurship she created multiple streams of revenue. After retiring, she went back to work as a receptionist at Winning Coiffeurs alongside her longtime friend and stylist, Rosalyn Redwine.
