Frances Elaine Leali was born on September 30, 1940, in Denver Colorado to Charles E. Leali and Helen Belle Jackson-Leali. Frances was the fifth born of six children. She received her formal education in the Denver Public Schools, Whittier Elementary, Cole Junior High School, and

Manual High School. Frances received her higher education at Colorado State University. After finishing school Frances owned and operated Leali Chapeau where she designed and sold couture church hats. During her free-time, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, elegant dining, and spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Frances accepted the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as a teenager under the leadership of Bishop Chester E. Morgan and Pastor Samuel Feaster of Holy Trinity Church of God in Christ. She was a member of the choir, the Church Secretary, Sunday School Teacher, and Youth Usher Board President. At her father’s church, New Hope Church of God in Christ, Pastor Charles E. Leali, she served as Sunday School Teacher, Usher President (trained under Mother Ruth Bookman), Choir President, Secretary, Prayer Warrior, and served in any capacity as needed. Frances was the Jurisdiction of Colorado Sunday School Secretary under the leadership of Bishop Phillip Porter.  In January 2012, she was one of the founding members of Bread of Life Pentecostal Church of God in Christ under Pastor James M. Dolores, and always looked forward to seeing her nephew who she referred to as “Brotha-Pastor” and hearing from her sister, Val Jean, every Sunday evening. Many devoted family members always made sure she had everything she needed, and she never hesitated to return the favor. She is preceded in death by her father, Pastor Charles E. 1. I remember Frances starting at Whittier Elementary School. I pray that God will give her loved ones comfort. Just know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Rest In Heaven Frances.

  2. I am saddened to know my kind and good friend from our youth has went home. I always loved Frances and enjoyed her spirit of enjoying life.I will always cherish my long time friendship with Frances, Dolores and the entire Leali Family.

  3. To the Family and Friends of Frances Elaine Leali

Please allow me to express my condolences for the loss of your dear loved one. The pain and sorrow experienced during this difficult time can be overwhelming. However, I am often comforted by the words found in God’s word, the Bible. For instance, when grieving the loss of his dear friend Lazarus, the Bible reports that “Jesus gave way to tears.” (John 11:35). What is even more comforting is the fact that Jesus resurrected Lazarus from the dead, and so like Mary and Martha, Lazarus’ sisters, the Bible expresses the hope of the resurrection whereby we may see our loved ones again. (Read John 11:38-44; 5:28, 29). What a marvelous hope.

May Jehovah God grant you peace during this time and provide comfort for you and your loved ones.

    Jeanine W.

  4. To James, Dolores and the Leali family. Sending love, prayers and condolences your way. May you be comforted by God’s love at this sad time. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. Rest in Heaven, Frances.
