  5. To the Family and Friends of Donna Marie Alexis

Please allow me to express my condolences for the loss of your dear loved one. The pain and sorrow experienced during this difficult time can be overwhelming. However, I am often comforted by the words found in God’s word, the Bible. For instance, when grieving the loss of his dear friend Lazarus, the Bible reports that “Jesus gave way to tears.” (John 11:35). What is even more comforting is the fact that Jesus resurrected Lazarus from the dead, and so like Mary and Martha, Lazarus’ sisters, the Bible expresses the hope of the resurrection whereby we may see our loved ones again. (Read John 11:38-44; 5:28, 29). What a marvelous hope.

May Jehovah God grant you peace during this time and provide comfort for you and your loved ones.

  7. I will miss you my friend. It is a sad day and time that you left us all behind but everyone will reunited with you at Resurrection. I remember those good ass hot links and hamburgers you cooked up on your food truck-I know you’re shutting down all the other food trucks in Heaven, girl, you got skills! I love how you give advice-turning negatives into positives. I will not forget when we shared the personal side of some of our struggles. I could not attend your final viewing and that left me frustrated but I still have other memories. I will always remember the last time I saw you and that million dollar smile, looking fly and just giving off that natural swag that makes you you; your words were kind and hilarious and although you didn’t make it to the Springs we’ll get together for that lunch at Resurrection, my friend, rest easy.
